[TCLUG] windows *.txt files unreadable on Linux

just from a windows partition to a linux one, ftp however yields the same
result. I think it's an encoding issue of the file itself???

How are you copying the files? Via Samba? FTP? NFS? Diskette? Or just
from a Windows partition to a Linux partition? Need more info.
