Both of the exploits listed today are 'local exploits' meaning someone has to have a shell account or shell access before the system is vulnerable.  If you aren't running a multi-user system I don't see them as a problem.

I was about to upgrade all of my public ip systems this weekend until I decided its just not necessary (for me anyhow).
