Why are the file descriptor limits still so low?  I understand that for most
things it's fine, but when building a super high performance mail server,
this just isn't enough.  Can this setting be changed on the fly yet like in
Slowlaris?  

I tried using BSD instead, but the performance of it sucked compared to
linux.  I don't think this should be the case, but that's what I found.
Maybe I'll try it again.  Of course, I think the BSD kernel needs to be
recompiled also to raise this setting.  Doh.
