...that I have determined that I am incapable of setting up anything
other than Mozilla or Netscape mail.
I've decided it is not worth putting this much time into it, because I
am probably going to upgrade my Slackware anyway, so whatever lucky
person/people help me with that can also help me configure my mail
stuff. Since I never got my ghostscript problem resolved, and Slack8
comes with the version of gs I need anyway, and I have other various
problems that a re-install or upgrade would fix, I figure I'll do it all
at once. After that, maybe downloading staroffice 6 won't make my
computer beep madly, maybe I can get wmMoonClock to work, and maybe I'll
find a better web browser than Mozilla so I can get rid of it completely.

BUT I do have a question in the meantime anyway. What would a day be
without a question from me? :)
I have to write a program in lisp, and I know that vim -l starts up vim
in 'lisp mode'. But wtf is 'lisp mode'? I can't find an explanation of
'lisp mode' anywhere. As far as I can tell it means the cursor
highlights the corresponding '(' when I type a ')', which is nice and
all, but surely it does more than just that. Is there also an
interpreter, or do I need to get one?

I shouldn't have any other questions for a while, so enjoy this one
while it lasts. ;)
