I tried the same thing and couldn't get it to work.  I also tried
putting a SOCKS proxy (dante) in the mix to see if that would work...but
I had no luck.

I thought I read somewhere that you could tunnel gabber through ssh but
I have yet to figure out how.  If you find out how, please share!
