I realize that this may not be very helpful, but are you really committed to CDs as backup. I thought I was, tried what seemed like a zillion packages, then gave up and bought a used SCSI tape drive for $2..... These seem to be kicking around various places for under $10.... About $50 of DATs later on + an install of taper, and I'm much happier. Best, R
