I bought the Lexmark Optra E312L.  I think the thing is absolutely great.
It is fast and it will even print 1200dpi (black only of course).  I have
yet to try it at 1200dpi though.  It is USB too!  They sell it at Best Buy.
I bought it for $299.  Only catch is that I have not found any way to print
using Linux or FreeBSD yet.  I have not tried very hard either.  I know the
312 will print under *NIX, but the 312L is problematic.
