I know there were a couple of reports of people who said they got the
wrong kind of modem (CAP/DMT) and thus their DSL didn't work right off the
bat.  With the Cisco 678 (and I imagine the 675 too) you can configure
that yourself.  You don't even need to resort to windows, just need a copy
of tftp (trivial ftp).
