Unions have no place in the IT/IS field. Personally, I'm an idiot who just happened to stumble on to a great job. True I work hard, but I don't think that got me here. I think I was just one lucky sucker who had the innate ability to communicate with people. I have a two year degree (doesn't mean shit, just gets me the interview) and very little experience. Now I'm a network engineer making plenty of money and loving life. Sometimes that's just the way it works.
