Anyone out there know how accurate the production of "-- MARK --" lines are when using "syslogd -m $HEARTBEAT"? The reason I ask is that some entries in my /var/log/messages file have time gaps preceeding some "-- MARK --" lines that are greater than the heartbeat interval... which makes me nervous. thanks, -S
