Awhile back, someone posted a perl oneliner which would delimit special characters in whatever you piped through it. Could someone post it here if they remember it? I looked through the archives, but it's hidden in some message that had a completely different subject. I have a bunch of stuff that I need to pipe through xargs, and some of it has single quotes in it, and other weird characters that get interpreted incorrectly. Jay
