Well, if you're not mounting NFS shares, or exporting NFS shares, then you
can just

    chkconfig --level 123456 nfslock off

To turn lockd off for good, beginning on your next reboot, and then

    /etc/rc.d/init.d/nfslock stop

to turn off lockd.
