No, not at all.  Anything electrical turns into a "dust magnet."  Remember,
floppies were never designed to *replace* hard drives.  And the same issues
occur on magnetic tape heads, they're just slightly less exposed on a
cartridge drive, and most open reel data decks used to live in filtered air
cooled computer rooms (not clean rooms, but better than office air.)
