The AGP bus runs at 66mhz. Running 2xAGP means that your card is running at 
133mhz and 4x means 266mhz. These numbers are, however, misnomers. Both the 
mainboard and the video card need to support the same settings to work. Much 
like anything else, different match-ups produce different results. Your bios 
will tell you if it supports 4x AGP. Some 4xAGP cards have a jumper on them 
to enable 4x. I have a Tyan 1864 that says it does 4x, but the system crashes 
when enabled. There are alot of issues to consider when running your AGP bus 
faster than 133, but that is another issue entirely.
