Correction:

    bash$ cvs-co-upgrade desiredpackage 0.0.0 0.0.0 | sh -s

cvs-co-upgrade apparently sends its commands to stdout.  Pipe it
through 'sh -s' and you'll do it all automatically.  Redirect it to a
file if you're paranoid.
