I just got Xfree86-4.0.1 (mandrake 7.2) working on my machine. I've got a Diamon Viper 330 which uses the Riva128 chipset. When I start X I get: (EE) NV(0): The Riva 128 chipset does not support depth 16. Using depth 15 instead (**) NV(0): Depth 15, (--) framebuffer bpp 16 And I use bpp15 which messes up gnomes gradient, word perfect and some other stuff. The NV drivers say that it doesn't suport bpp16 with riva128 -- is there a way around this, or a new driver? Thanks, Ben
