This is not a Linux question but with all the knowledge and kindness out there I am hoping someone will be able to give a hand. My dad's win 98 machine got the magistr virus and an no longer boot from the HD. I have linux on a floppy and booted the computer from that and tried to mount the HD but linux complained that it did not know the filesystem type. Mount did try to mount it as a MSDOS system but couldn't. there is a couple of files that he would like off of it before I reinstall his OS back on there. Any ideas TIA John Miller
