Though it should be noted that doing that will only remove the symlinks
that have the service start when the system boots.  The service will still
be running.  You can try to do `/sbin/service <servicename> stop', but in
my experience, that doesn't always work.  Try `/etc/init.d/<servicename>
stop' or `/etc/rc.d/init.d/<servicename> stop'
