Ok, I seemed to have made some headway.  Concerning that URL of that USWest
users page:  DO NOT download the CBOS from his page.  It is the thing that
fucked up my router.  I retried with the CBOS from USQworsts page and that
seemed to work *wipes sweat from brow*
