Well, I've been plowing through all the stuff that was thrown out here and I've got some questions. Those of you using the 3ware Escalade controllers - how are you using them? RAID0 / RAID1 / ???. Are you pushing them hard? What kernel are you using? Are there detectable performance issues? Has anyone tried the hot swap / hot spare that has recently become available? I'm kind of wandering around my office muttering "it's too good to be true". So what are the gotcha's with the Escalade board (so compared to a Mylex Acceleraid 150/170). The thought of spending less money on the hard drives (and more on the CPU/ Memory) has got me hoping the escalade board will work for me...
