So I went out and bought a Duron cpu and MSI K7T board in hope to get my box backup and running, well. If anyone has had simular problems let me know. Error message from Redhat 6.2(fresh install) cpu amd duron processor stepping 00 enabling extened fast fpu save restore .... done. disabling cpuid serial number .. general protection fault:0000 cpu:0 eip! 0010:[<c02340f4>] efflages 000018282 \ \ mem dump \ kernal panic: attempted to kill the idle task! in swapper task-not syncing Any help would be good.
