Be careful with SAN to make sure the system actually supports what you need.
For instance at work we got a StorageWorks box to do our SAN since it was
supposed to have support "real soon" for running both Solaris and NT on the
same switch (or head depending on your terminology), just differnt volumes.
That was 3 years ago. We just called them up and asked how to do it and were
told you need to have two switches, one for NT and one for Solaris.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels
nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any
powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all
creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that
is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39
