I decided to try SuSE 7.0 but have run into a little hang up. The install gets so far as 'initializing /home' and then there is a flash (looks like it's starting an X server) and it hangs. I've got a laptop with a Trident Cyber video chipset. It's always been a little finicky with X and I think that's the problem. Is there a text install or maybe some way to pass parameters to the X server so it doesn't choke?
