You either need to rip it to wav with cdparanoia, or use cdrdao which
can do direct copies.

I highly recommend having both cdrecord and cdrdao. cdrecord is quick
and easy for burning plain ISOs, cdrdao does raw disk copies/images, can
handle the .cue files various windoze programs like, and lets you
customise track padding on audio CDs per track. Harder to use, but far
more powerful.
