You mean with Gimp, or just in general?

I haven't had any trouble with Gimp on X 4.0.1.  What video card are you
using, Yaron?  I've got an AGP Matrox G400 (haven't mucked with OpenGL
on that yet, though)

Actually, X 4.0.1 has been very stable for me (though I haven't been
running xscreensaver or any opengl stuff).
