Great article on slashdot about the MAPS RBL being sued. As an ISP that tried to maintain our own internal spammer database, the RBL was a gift from the net-gods. As soon as I found out about it I subscribed Real Time to the database. Since that time I have only got about 5 spam messages over the last 2 months. This is a huge decrease in the number of spam messages I use to get. The largest aspect of the RBL has been that we block approximately 100,000 spam messages a month now. Spam is so bad that we block more spam now then we deliver legit messages.
