I have a home network, one desktop, two laptops. The desktop and one
laptop are running Doze and one laptop is dual booted w/ RH6.1 and
Doze. I read and tried to follow the NHF for networking but can't get
either of the two dozers to read the linux box and vice-versa (I did get
and compile, then upgrade my older Samba to the latest version).

I can't figure out which quads are which for each machine to
communicate. Also in the GNOME network configurator, I've tried several
iterations of quads (255.255.255.x, 255.255.x.x, etc) including my cable
isp primary DNS, secondary DNS and issued IP address with no joy.

Each dozer has a discrete IP number in the winipcfg file and the linux
box has a discrete IP also (all quads of course). Which quad goes where
in the samba config files and/or network configurator?

Anybody have a linux/doze network? Any suggestions (besides RTFM, which
I've done, honest) would be appreciated.
