*Job Summary:* The Systems Administrator will support all internal
network activity for JobDig. Responsible for complex installation,
hardware setup, network optimization and configuration of software.
Position will also troubleshoot and provide technical support to
end-users.
*Key Tasks:*
* Monitor and respond to hardware and software problems for JobDig
by utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and
techniques.
* Installs and configures network hardware and software and provide
network troubleshooting and support to end-users.
* Administers network security, anti-spyware systems and anti-virus
software
* Responsible for testing of daily on-site and off-site backups.
* Responsible for VoIP phone, powered by Asterisk and open source
solutions, support
* Responds to incoming Help Desk emails and requests
* Administers and manages users in an Active Directory environment,
including configuring Group Policy settings and setting up
Microsoft Transforms to deploy software
* Performs server maintenance and performance optimization
* Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software
applications as assigned
* Participates in special projects as required and improving network
topology
*Required Skills & Qualifications: *
* Knowledge of multiple operating systems, including Windows Server
installations, Windows clients, Mac OS X and Linux
* Understanding of network architecture, best practices, and TCP/IP
implementation
* Bachelor's Degree in I.S / I.T or equivalent field.
*Desired Skills & Qualifications: *
* Work with technologies such as Jabber, LDAP, SQL server, LAMP
configuration
* Extensive work with Active Directory and Ghosting solutions
* Experience with firewalls and proxy servers
* Interest and understanding of VOIP servers and solutions
* Knowing what a "jumbo packet" is and its application purposes
