Three Point Solutions has an Application Support position for permanent placement with a Fortune 500 client in Minnetonka, MN. Our client is one of the premier option market makers in the world. The client's technology team provides systems that implement real-time option pricing, trade execution, order routing and risk management. This is a key technology in support of the global equity derivatives business. As a member of the Trading Systems Operations team, the successful candidate will work with a group of Systems Administrators to support our proprietary options market making system, our local options trading floor and remote traders located on exchange floors. Day to day duties include: * Troubleshooting complex trading system related issues, including log mining and correlation. * Monitoring system components. * Identifying opportunities for improvement or automation of processes and procedures, and writing scripts, code or documentation to resolve. * Releasing software. * Interfacing with traders to identify and document bugs and unintended features, and working with software developers to resolve. * Working quickly and accurately , and maintaining a level head in a very high pressure environment. Principal Duties: * 30% Troubleshooting issues and responding to events. * 30% Working on projects (migrations, optimization, roll-outs, etc.). * 20% Software release related activities. * 10% Expanding knowledge of OMM system. * 10% Writing and editing documentation. Basic Qualifications: * 4+ Years each supporting Windows servers, and Linux or Unix * 4+ Years experience with Perl, PHP, Unix Shell, etc. * 4+ Years in a support role in a complex enterprise environment. * 2+ Years working experience supporting internal or external "customers".
